Our cultural nature tour starts with hotel pickup from every area on Koh Lanta. Our driver takes you to Tung Yee Pheng Pier on the northeast coast. This pier is the gateway to the protected mangrove forest. At the pier, our friendly staff will check you in, provide kayak equipment, life jacket, dry bag and give a short safety briefing. No previous kayaking experience is needed for this adventure.
Then you start paddling into the calm water mangrove. The route is easy, flat water, no waves, suitable for beginners and children. You will glide through green tunnels formed by ancient mangrove roots. Our local guide will point out wildlife like fiddler crabs, mudskippers, sea eagles and explain about the importance of the mangrove ecosystem. The highlight of this mangrove kayak koh lanta experience is Monkey Point, where friendly long-tail monkeys live close to the river.
After monkey sightseeing, continue paddling to a small hidden cave inside the mangrove forest. You will explore the cave by kayak, a unique experience that you can only find here.
